The Bently Nevada190501-12-00-00 is a piezoelectric velocity sensor, marketed under the “Velomitor CT” family. It is explicitly designed as a low-frequency version of Bently’s
standard Velomitor velocity sensor, so that it can effectively measure vibration on slower-speed machinery (for example cooling towers,
air-cooled heat-exchanger fans)operating at around 90 rpm and upward. The typical use case: measuring
casing vibration velocity of fan assemblies, cooling tower fans, heat-exchanger fans, etc.

FAQ |
|
Q1: What is the difference between the Velomitor CT and the standard Velomitor? |
|
A2: The specification states it is designed for machines operating at or above 90 rpm (100 rpm to ~300 rpm typical). If you have slower machines, you’d need to verify the vibration frequency content is still within the sensor’s frequency response (down to ~1.5 Hz in extended spec) and that the machine casing transmits sufficient vibration. |

Q3: How important is the mounting location and method? |
|
Q4: What cable length limitations exist? |
